Low-Contrast Film Look

Sierra is a subtle Instagram filter that gives a flat film-like look. It’s ideal for contrasty scenes, or scenes with dark shadows where you want to make shadows more visible. Its low-key desaturated look makes it ideal for urban fashion and lifestyle photos.

This preset is part of the 2010s Instagram aesthetic project where I recreate the look of retro Instagram filters.

Color Grading

This preset desaturates the reds into muted purple and deep blue tones while boosting and saturating the blues and greens into bright cyan and vivid lime. Shadows are dropped for richer depth, and highlights are lightly lifted for a softer gradient effect.

In the free download, you’ll receive the standard Sierra preset. If you are a Pro member, you will receive an additional Lightroom Preset with skin tone protection. This preset uses VOXCOLOR’s Skin Tone Protection algorithm to restore the original skin tones, making it ideal for portraits.
