Vintage Two-Color Look

The two strip Technicolor process, also known as the two color look, was an early color film technique developed in the 1920s. It captured images using only two colors, typically red and green, rather than the full color spectrum. This resulted in a distinctive, limited palette with a vintage, stylized feel.

This LUT recreates that iconic two strip Technicolor effect, giving your footage the same unique color tone. It mimics the look used in the film The Aviator, adding a more filmic, nostalgic quality to your video.

Color Grading

This preset shifts colors towards red and teal, with warm highlights. If you have used the 2 strip LUT in Photoshop, you might notice this one looks different. This LUT is closer to the true two strip look, including its imperfections.

The Photoshop version mainly adds a red and teal tint but does not fully mimic the actual appearance of two strip footage. This LUT replicates that authentic look, which is why the colors feel more dynamic and natural.
